On an 18-karat gold letter pendant, the size is the criteria that most changes the look. A one-inch Q remains discreet under an open collar; a three-inch Q becomes the centerpiece of the outfit.

The metal is chosen independently of the size: a gold letter pendant in 10, 14, or 18 karats, or the 925 sterling silver version for a more accessible silver letter pendant. The white gold, yellow gold, or rose gold finish is then selected.
The chain is not included, leaving you free to compose the set as you wish. Since the bail is integrated into the Q, it connects directly to a pendant chain without an intermediate jump ring. Two rules are enough.
The chain must support the pendant without stealing the spotlight:
A 50 cm chain places the pendant below the collarbone, a 55 cm at the hollow of the sternum, a 60 cm in the middle of the chest. The larger the pendant, the better it looks lower down. See Emir ICE chains and Cuban chains.
Alone, as a statement piece. A chain, a Q, nothing else: on a plain dark t-shirt, the fire of the natural diamond stands out immediately.
Layered. A short chain wearing the Q and a second, longer, finer chain: the offset creates depth without blurring the design.

Use a soft, dry cloth after each wear; occasionally clean with a lukewarm soapy water bath, use a soft brush on the back of the setting, and dry completely. Put the jewelry on last, after perfume, and remove it before swimming.

A natural diamond is extracted from the earth and then cut. A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond, cultivated via CVD or HPHT: same hardness, same fire, traceable origin, and a softer price per carat. The 1.5-inch size satisfies the greatest number: visible enough in a photo, sober enough for daily wear. Move up to 2 inches if you already wear a heavy chain. All initials are gathered in the initial letter pendant collection.
