Personalized pendant: initial, letter, or full name

A personalized pendant is no ordinary piece of jewelry: it is the only one that no one else can wear for you. An initial, two intertwined letters, a full name, cursive or gothic script—the piece ceases to be an ornament and becomes a statement. This page brings together all of Emir ICE's customizable creations, without distinction between men's and women's jewelry: the request is unique, and so is the jewelry.

Here you will find single-letter models, full names, locket pendants, and spinning creations, in 18-karat yellow, white, or rose gold plating, set with lab-simulated stones that replicate the brilliance of a diamond.

Initial, letter, or name: three different intentions

The initial pendant is the most discreet and universal. A single letter, legible at a glance, that can be worn every day and layered without clutter. It is also the easiest format to give as a gift when you want to make an impression without overdoing it: the letter says the essential and leaves the rest implied.

The gold letter pendant takes it a step further. Crown, cursive, bubble, or barbed wire models give the letter a graphic character: it becomes an object in its own right, not just an indication. Bubble versions round off the edges and soften the look; cursive scripts elongate the lines and read like a signature; gothic or old English script letters embrace a tougher register, inherited from street culture.

The personalized name necklace takes it to the limit. A full name, in large pavé letters or fine cursive lines, occupies the chest and can be read from a distance. It is a piece of jewelry that gets noticed and is worn with confidence: best chosen in a generous length so the word has room to unfold.

How to choose the right configuration

Three parameters determine the final result, and they all influence each other.

  • The number of characters. A single letter fits on any format. Beyond five or six characters, a name spreads out: prioritize a moderate letter height, otherwise, the pendant becomes wider than the neck.
  • The height of the letter. From 15 to 25 mm, the pendant remains a detail. From 30 to 45 mm, it becomes the focal point of the outfit and requires a neckline or an open collar to breathe.
  • The chain length. 45 cm places the pendant high, near the collar; 50 cm makes it rest below the collarbone, which is the safest setting; 60 cm brings it to the sternum, which is particularly suitable for large formats and full names.

One final piece of common-sense advice: the larger the letter, the longer the chain should be. A large pendant on a short chain ends up stuck under the chin and loses all readability.

Materials and finishes

The pieces on this page are made of 18-karat gold plating over a metal or stainless steel base. It is not solid gold, and we are happy to clarify this: 18K plating reproduces the hue and depth of the precious metal, lasts several years with minimal care, and allows for letter formats that a solid model would make inaccessible.

The set stones are lab-created simulated stones. They replicate the fire and clarity of a diamond without the cost, but they are neither diamonds nor natural stones, and we do not present them as such. If you are looking for real stones, our collections dedicated to lab-grown and natural diamonds are available separately.

The choice of color is not insignificant. Yellow gold warms up olive and golden skin tones; white gold goes better with fair skin and steel watches; rose gold softens the whole look and works particularly well on small formats.

Wearing and maintaining personalized jewelry

A letter is worn alone or layered, but never with a second pendant of comparable size: two objects to be read at the same time cancel each other out. If you layer, pair a letter with a bare chain that is shorter, with at least five centimeters of difference so that each one remains visible.

Regarding maintenance, the rules for plating apply without exception. Remove the jewelry before swimming, a long shower, or exercise: chlorine and perspiration are its two true enemies. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth after each wear, store it flat and separated from other jewelry, as metal-on-metal friction wears down the plating much faster than time. A rinse in lukewarm soapy water followed by complete drying is enough to revive the shine; avoid abrasive products and ultrasonic baths.

Deadlines and advice before ordering

A piece of jewelry engraved or assembled on request is not a stock item: check the spelling and accents of the name before confirming, as the piece is manufactured exactly as entered. For a time-sensitive gift, plan ahead and order early.
