This collection relies on a duo that has become a rap classic: a pendant that displays a name, and a Cuban link chain that serves as the base. The two complement each other instead of competing.
The signature pendant follows a precise logic. The letters must remain legible from a distance, which requires thick lines and a clean outline. Lettering that is too thin becomes illegible as soon as it is fully paved.
As for the Cuban link, it provides the continuous surface necessary for the whole piece to read as a single block. This is what distinguishes a successful men's diamond chain from a simple pile of elements.
The final marker is the pieces received. A gifted piece of jewelry tells a story, and this symbolic dimension counts just as much as the material in the hip-hop world.
The term VVS comes up in almost every rap song, and almost no one knows exactly what it designates. It is neither a brand nor a cut: it is a level of clarity.
Clarity measures the quantity and visibility of inclusions, those tiny natural irregularities present in a stone. The standard scale ranges from FL, totally flawless, to I3, where inclusions are visible to the naked eye.
VVS stands for "very very slightly included": the inclusions exist but are extremely difficult to spot, even with a magnifying glass. It is the level just below perfectly pure stones, and that is what makes it the standard in hip-hop.
Clarity, however, is only one of four criteria. The cut determines light reflection, the color the perceived whiteness, and the carat the weight. A poorly cut VVS stone sparkles less than a less pure but perfectly proportioned stone.
| Level | Meaning | Visibility of inclusions |
|---|---|---|
| FL / IF | Flawless or Internally Flawless | None, even under magnification |
| VVS1 / VVS2 | Very Very Slightly Included | Extremely difficult to see under magnification |
| VS1 / VS2 | Very Slightly Included | Visible under magnification, not to the naked eye |
| SI1 / SI2 | Slightly Included | Easy under magnification, sometimes to the eye |
| I1 to I3 | Included | Visible to the naked eye |
Beware of a common shortcut: on hip-hop jewelry, "VVS" often denotes a claimed quality level for the stone used, regardless of its nature. Natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, and moissanite can all be offered in VVS quality.
Start by choosing the type of stone rather than the label. Natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, and moissanite have different aesthetics: moissanite disperses light more intensely and produces distinct colorful reflections, which is very popular for iced-out pieces.
Next, think about the size of the stones before their quality. On a paved piece, a thousand well-aligned micro-stones produce more effect than a few large, very pure stones that are poorly distributed.
For the pendant, respect the proportion: a lettered design must retain at least two millimeters of solid metal on its outline, otherwise the letters get drowned in the shimmer.
Finally, match the chain. A fully paved pendant pairs better with a sober or partially set link than with a chain that is also completely covered.
A fully set surface loses its shine for a simple reason: light enters from the top of the stones but exits from the bottom. As soon as an oily film settles under the settings, everything goes dull.
Cleaning should therefore be done from underneath and not from above. Warm water, a drop of mild soap, a very soft brush, then rinse thoroughly and dry completely with a microfiber cloth.
Avoid ultrasonic cleaners on paved pieces. The vibrations loosen the setting prongs, and this is a classic cause of lost stones on jewelry that is otherwise new.
Perfume and hairspray are the two most discreet enemies. They form an invisible film that dulls the surface within a few weeks. Get dressed, apply perfume, then put on the jewelry.
Finally, regularly check the stones on the edges. These are always the first to fall out, as they are the most exposed to friction against clothing.
A word on moissanite, very common in pieces of this type. Its hardness is slightly lower than that of a diamond but remains very high, making it perfectly suitable for daily wear. Its uniqueness lies in its dispersion: it refracts light more than a diamond, producing those colorful reflections that are immediately noticeable on video.
This dispersion also explains why a moissanite piece often appears more spectacular than an equivalent diamond piece in a photo. To the naked eye and in natural light, the difference is significantly reduced.
One last point to know before buying: on fully paved pieces, the exact nature of the stones is difficult to verify by eye. A stone tester remains the only simple way to clear up doubts at home, and it is one of the tools that most serious collectors own.
Four pieces from our catalog centered around the signature pendant and the Cuban link.

Before comparing labels, compare the look: our moissanite and lab-grown diamond pieces are shown side by side.
It is a level of clarity: very very slightly included. Inclusions are present but extremely difficult to see, even under magnification.
No. The term describes clarity, not origin. Lab-grown diamonds or moissanite can also be offered in VVS quality.
Cut quality. A perfectly proportioned stone reflects more light than a purer but poorly cut stone.
It is not recommended. The vibrations loosen the setting prongs and cause lost stones.
