Only its origin changes, as it is grown instead of being mined — therefore, it can never be described as natural. 925 silver is the entry-level option, very white, which oxidizes in the air. 10K gold is the hardest of the four and the most scratch-resistant. 14K gold offers the best balance of strength and purity for daily wear. 18K gold has the deepest color, but it is the softest metal.
And the chain
Not included, it determines the hanging height: 50 cm near the collarbone, 55 to 60 cm on the sternum, 65 cm and longer for a low hang. A 3-inch piece on a thin chain will sag and strain the clasp.
