Moissanite is a stone in its own right, distinct from diamond. Its brilliance and fire are very high, to the point that it passes common diamond testers, but it is not a diamond. This is a deliberate choice for custom pieces: it allows for a volume of stones that would be impossible to achieve otherwise, on a 925 silver base.
